Year 6 have spent a large proportion of the day today being inductive.  They have been discovering the learning for themselves and then using this to help them understand different topics further.

We began this in Maths where we were working out how to carry out calculations of 2 digit x 2 digit numbers.  We looked at some worked examples and used this to help us write a WIN which we can follow later in the week.

In History, we were also inductive by trying to work out what Historically valid questions were and then write some that we will research based on the Maya's topic that we are studying.

From being inductive, we have learnt lots for ourselves which means that we are more than likely to remember it.  We are hoping that it will help us to further our learning this week too.
