This half term, we have been learning all about The Stone Age. We have been looking at a range of sources to find out about the past.
Year 3- Learning muscles
We have been learning about different learning muscles and how we use these in class. We carried out a range of activities to help us grow these. The learning muscles we were using were; perseverance, collaboration, listening and noticing. We can’t wait to continue to grow these in Year 3.
Year 2 - Esther Mahlangu

Year 2 - Wateraid
We have been learning about the importance of water and how it is vital for our survival. We created save water posters and completed a Danceathon in support of the charity Water Aid, which raised a total of £164.39. This will help communities who don’t have access to clean water.
Year 2 - water colours and pastels
Today we used water colours and pastels to create pictures in the theme of our artist of this term Joan Milo.
Year 2 Maple - Blackpool Zoo trip
What a wonderful day out we had at Blackpool Zoo. We loved the elephants, giraffes, orangutans and the massive silverback gorilla. The sea lion show was amazing, especially when one collected a plastic bottle and put it in the recycling bucket! Lots of tired children on the coach home but…

Year 2 Maple - African Masks part 1
This term our topic is Manchester and Nairobi, and within this we have read the book Lila and the Secret of the Rain. Today we started to make some African Masks and began by drawing our design, then using paper mache to make the first stage.
