This week, we have been baking, drawing, painting, dual coding, dancing, dressing up as something from a different decade, and lots more! 
 

On Tuesday, we celebrated all things 70's! We saw some cool costumes as we completed lots of research on all of the interesting things that happened during this decade of reign, by the Queen. We ended the day with a boogie-down in a whole school assembly to We Will Rock You!

What an amazing week we have had celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.  We have sung the National Anthem, baked a Victoria Sponge, drawn a Corgi during an art lesson, learned about the life of the Queen, dressed up for our through the decades theme, and finished our week with street…

Year 4 have written letters to the queen to congratulate her on reaching her platinum jubilee and to also tell her how we have been celebrating in school. We will be posting our letters to Buckingham Palace at the end of the week.

We had a great learning about the 80s and dressing up in the fashion of this decade. 

Year 1 got to use their senses during our carousell of activities. We used our noses to smell, hands to touch, eyes to see and our ears to listen.

Year 1 looked at the Artist L.S Lowry, they then tried to copy one of his paintings called 'Portrait of Ann'. We used different art media oil pastels, chalk, coloured pencils and charcoal pencils. The children did really well and created some very good portraits.

Year 1 enjoyed dressing up for our dacade, which was the 00's, there were some fntastic costumes! throughout the day we listened to music and looked at toy and games that were popular in our decade, we also looked at the fashion that was around in the 00's. For dinner we enjoyed a celebratory…
